✨Celebrating Women, Empowering Leadership ! ✨
On the 9th of April, the France-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ON, MB) proudly hosted Beyond March 2025, a dynamic and empowering event designed to spotlight women’s voices, journeys, and leadership far beyond International Women’s Month. From financial literacy to personal reinvention, the morning brought together inspiring leaders across sectors to share insights, stories, and strategies for growth, both personal and professional.
Key Highlights from the Event :
💡 Be Wealthy
The morning opened with a powerful session led by Scotiabank’s senior leadership team, who offered tangible guidance on financial planning and wealth protection. Attendees were encouraged to build strong, trusting relationships with financial advisors, regardless of who manages the household finances. Planning, transparency, and protecting one’s personal assets were recurring themes. The session emphasized that women whether early in their careers, managing a household, or planning for legacy should remain informed, intentional, and prepared for every stage of life. The advice was clear: know your worth, protect your future, and don’t shy away from financial conversations.
💡 Be Wise
In a conversation anchored in leadership and mindset, Nancy Williams of The Mindset Lab joined Riva Walia, Emily Heitman, and Sanjay Tugnait for a thoughtful dialogue on modern leadership. Nancy shared how authenticity, clarity, and intentionality are at the heart of sustainable success. Leaders today must be courageous in setting boundaries, fostering relationships, and speaking with kindness and conviction. Emily and Riva’s discussion, “Trailblazers by Design,” highlighted how nonlinear paths and bold choices can lead to exceptional outcomes. Their stories of global pivots and reinvention offered a roadmap for aspiring leaders seeking to define success on their own terms.
💡 Be Healthy
Health and longevity were at the core of the next session, which centered on women’s well-being, preventive care, and mindfulness. Kimberly Carson, CEO of Breast Cancer Canada, provided striking data and called attention to the rise of breast cancer in younger women, reinforcing the life-saving importance of early detection. Her introduction of the national “Progress Tracker” initiative demonstrated how lived experience can shape cutting-edge research. Dr. Jennifer Pearlman delved into the science of aging, stressing the role of hormones, nutrition, and strength training in extending not only lifespan but quality of life. Complementing this conversation, yoga coach Niharika Gosalia brought a holistic perspective, emphasizing breath, balance, and movement as essential tools for long-term wellness.
💡 Be You
The event concluded with an inspiring reminder that the most powerful journey is the one toward being unapologetically yourself. Finding your ‘why’, embracing your individuality, and staying true to your path even when it’s unconventional are not only acts of courage but also acts of leadership. These insights highlighted the importance of defining success on your own terms rather than according to societal expectations.
A Collective Moment of Empowerment
Beyond March 2025 was more than a moment—it was a movement. It brought together a community of trailblazers, dreamers, and change-makers. The FCCCO is proud to offer a platform where real stories, actionable insights, and cross-industry collaboration thrive.
