On the occasion of July 14th, Bastille Day, the FCCCO proudly marked a powerful and symbolic moment celebrating unity, friendship, and cooperation between France and Canada 🇫🇷🤝🇨🇦.
For the second year in a row, the FCCCO had the distinct honour of ringing the closing bell at the Toronto Stock Exchange. This 2nd edition has become a meaningful tradition, highlighting the strength of Franco-Canadian economic ties, our shared democratic values, and a long-standing partnership rooted in collaboration and mutual trust.
Surrounded by our members, partners, and business leaders, we were honoured to welcome distinguished guests of honour whose leadership and commitment reflect the depth of the bilateral relationship:
The Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario
The Honourable Kinga Surma, MPP, Minister of Infrastructure
Mr. Bertrand Pous, Consul General of France in Toronto
Ms. Jan Liggett, Mayor of Cambridge
Mr. Frank Scarpitti, Mayor of Markham
Their presence added strong institutional and symbolic significance to the ceremony, underscoring the importance of dialogue between economic, governmental, and municipal stakeholders.
The FCCCO extends its sincere thanks to the TMX Group, as well as to all teams and partners involved, for helping make this ceremony a meaningful and forward-looking tribute to the growing relationship between our two nations.
This second edition reaffirms the FCCCO’s continued commitment to fostering connections, strengthening economic cooperation, and promoting Franco-Canadian excellence across Ontario and beyond. ✨
