#FRANCEisON | Monthly CXO Rendez-Vous

The tourism industry is undergoing a profound transformation, marked by premiumization, the integration of AI, a stronger commitment to sustainability, and an increasing focus on well-being. This evolution is redefining customer experience standards as well as leadership models.

To address these challenges and shed light on these issues, the FCCCO had the pleasure of welcoming Carolyne Doyon, President and CEO of Club Med North America and the Caribbean, as part of our monthly CXO meeting. She shared with us her vision centered on growth through experience, resilience in hospitality, and the creation of sustainable, human-centered destinations.

Key Highlights from the Event

🔹 Premium transformation

Club Med is undergoing an ambitious premiumization process: shifting from a mid-range offering to a premium all-inclusive experience. The entire customer journey is centralized within the resort to meet the expectations of a clientele seeking high-end, authentic experiences.

🔹 AI-powered tools

Carolyne Doyon shared her use of modern tools, such as artificial intelligence, which can be highly useful and facilitate management. AI supports teams, optimizes operations, and enhances the customer experience. It boosts efficiency while freeing up time for more human interaction.

🔹 Sustainability focus

Club Med places great importance on sustainability. All resorts are Green Globe certified, and materials are selected for their environmental friendliness. This commitment results in reduced ecological footprints and the promotion of local, renewable resources. The guiding principle: responsible tourism.

🔹 Wellness-driven travel

Travel is increasingly centered on well-being, responding to the evolving expectations of tourists. Club Med addresses this through its Wellness Fusion programs and plant-based menus. The combination of sports, healthy eating, and personal development offers a holistic experience focused on balance and health.

🔹People-first leadership

Carolyne Doyon emphasized the importance of embodied leadership built on trust, autonomy, and communication. Her motto, “If there’s doubt, there’s no doubt,” reflects the clarity needed in decision-making. She also encourages seeing every failure as a learning opportunity, stressing that managerial culture is essential in supporting the sector’s major transformations.
